Great Green Curtain of Angola

Angola's Great Green Curtain project stems from a multidisciplinary initiative with a broad impact that aims to address the main threats, combat and prevent desertification and degradation in the provinces of Namibe, Cuando Cubango, Benguela, Huíla as a consequence of climate change and human action. In turn, it restores and promotes the neutrality of land degradation in a sustainable way and strengthens the resilience of people and natural systems in the region, with good ecosystem management, sustainable development of land resources, protection of rural heritage and improvement of the living conditions of the local population in dry and arid areas, will make it possible to find long-term solutions to live on their land, thanks to the sustainable management of the land, increasing their income and guaranteeing their food security.
